Join us for conservation workshops and demonstration events, and reach out for free one-on-one technical assistance for a conservation project on your land or in your community!

Examples of Past Outreach Events and Projects:

  • Windbreak plantings utilizing native species and traditional medicinal/culturally significant plants of the Oceti Sakowin Oyate

  • Beaver damage mitigation on small Tribal farms utilizing tree wrapping, tree panting, willow planting, and “beaver deceivers”

  • American Kestrel nest box installation and the promotion of “nature-based” solutions of common pests such as grasshoppers and mice on prairie farmland

  • Bumblebee surveys on small farms using the methods of the Great Plains Bumblebee Atlas as well as pollinator garden installation

  • Erosion control and soil conservation utilizing Post-assisted Log Structures (PALS) and root establishment
